Collection of Information
In order to use the AviAssist Pty Ltd website, we may require information from you in order to provide the best service possible.
All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts, including Email.
Any information collected by AviAssist Pty Ltd is collected via correspondence from you or your company. This may be via the telephone, email, mail, fax or directly through our website.
Use of collection information
Any details collected from AviAssist Pty Ltd customers is required in order to provide you with our products and/or services, and a high level of customer service.
Correspondence is recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development.
Storage of collected information
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When Credit Card details are collected, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

Orders
If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, Email, and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date etc).
We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
Communications
AviAssist Pty Ltd uses personally identifiable information for essential communications, such as Emails, accounts information and critical service details. We may also use this information for other purposes, including some promotional Emails. If at any time a customer wishes not to receive such correspondence, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by emailing us at team@aviassist.com.au.
You will be notified when your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

AviAssist Pty Ltd may at its discretion use other third parties to provide essential services on our site or for our business processes. We may share your details as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

Aviassist Pty Ltd security policy
AviAssist Pty Ltd uses the eWAY Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. eWAY processes online credit card transactions for thousands of merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet. All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the eWAY gateway are secured payments.
– Payments are fully automated with an immediate response.
– Your complete credit card number cannot be viewed by AviAssist Pty Ltd or any outside party.
– All transactions are performed under 128 Bit SSL Certificate.
– All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY’s bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data.
– eWAY at no time touches your funds; all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by AviAssist Pty Ltd.

Delivery Policy
Physical goods.
After ordering online, the client will receive an email confirmation from eWAY containing order details (if you have provided your email address). Aviassist will confirm receipt of your order within 1 business day will attempt to send your goods via Australia Post within 3 business days; however, if goods are unavailable delivery may take a little longer.

Digital Delivery.
After ordering online, the client will receive an email confirmation from eWAY containing your order details (if you have provided your email address). Aviassist will confirm receipt of your order. Delivery will be within the previously arranged or advertised time-frame.

Returns and Refund Policy
Refund and Returns Policy
Goods
As per the department of fair trading if goods are deemed to have a major problem, a repair, replacement or refund will be offered.
Please email us at team@aviassist.com.au if you are not satisfied with your purchase so that we can resolve any problems.
This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been damaged after delivery, or if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition. All postage and insurance costs are to be paid by the buyer. We recommend that you return the product via Registered post and that you prepay all postage. You assume any risk of lost, theft or damaged goods during transit and therefore advise you take out shipment registration of insurance with your postal carrier. AviAssist Pty Ltd will not be responsible for parcels lost or damaged in transit if you choose not to insure.
Training
Training must be paid for in full prior to course attendance. Aviassist’s payment terms are 7 days from date of invoice unless a purchase order is issued and accepted upon booking. Should a purchase order not be provided within 3 business days of registration or invoice not be paid as per payment terms stipulated on the invoice, registration in Aviassist course may be cancelled, student will be notified of cancellation via the email given at time of booking.
Once training has been booked and paid, it can be transferred to another date free of charge. Students can transfer courses up to ten (10) business days from course commencement – to transfer a course, students are to email team@aviassist.com.au. Should a course date be transferred closer than ten (10) business days to course commencement fees may apply.
Should a cancellation occur within five (5) business days of course commencement 50% of the course fees will be charged. Should a cancellation occur within three (3) business days of course commencement 100% of the course fees will be charged.
Refunds/Credits will be offered in extenuating circumstances such as illness (doctors certificate required).
Once scheduled training has commenced no refunds are available.
Reminder emails for all course bookings are issued prior to course commencement to the email address provided at the time of booking.
Additional (Remedial) training
All Remote Pilot Licence training is competency based. Aviassist schedules courses based on an anticipated practical experience required. On occasion, additional training will be required to acquire the required competency.
Initial Remote Pilot Licence training
Aviassist schedules an anticipated 5 hours of practical flight experience. Should the required competency not be reached within this time, additional training will be scheduled free of charge at Aviassist’s standard scheduled locations at the convenience of Aviassist. Failure to achieve required competencies after one free of charge return for two consecutive days of flying will result in any additional return bookings incurring a fee. It is anticipated that scheduled remedial training will proceed as planned though Aviassist does not guarantee availability for free of charge remedial training.
Once remedial training has been booked it can be transferred to another date free of charge, up to ten (10) business days from course commencement at no cost. Should a returning student cancel or fail to notify of cancellation within (5) business days of course commencement, the free of charge return is forfeited & future remedial training will incur a fee.
Conditions will be reviewed in extenuating circumstances such as illness (evidence such as a doctor’s certificate may be required). Re-bookings are available for a period of up to 12 months.
Reminder emails for all course bookings are issued prior to course commencement to the email address provided at the time of booking.
Remote Pilot Licence Exams
Should a student need to re-sit their theory exam, it can only be sat three times before a student is required to re-sit the entire course again (CASA regulation). Students are welcome to re-sit the exam free of charge as well as attend one (1) free of charge theory revision, this can be booked by contacting us on 1300 359 772 or team@aviassist.com.au. Should a student fail the theory exam three (3) times and require to re-sit the entire course, a fee will need to be paid prior to attending.
Remote Pilot Licence upgrades
It is expected that students attending a Remote Pilot Licence upgrade course have accumulated flight experience of at least 5 hours. Evidence of 5 hours (or more) flight experience is to be emailed to team@aviassist.com.au prior to course attendance.
Students conducting upgrades on the same aircraft type are expected to meet the competencies of the lower licence category. This will be assessed prior to conducting upgrade training. Should existing competency not reach the lower licence category, remedial training will be conducted during the scheduled training but is not guaranteed during that session. Additional fees may apply if additional training is requested to meet the lower licence category before commencing the upgrade training.

Should the required competency not be reached within this time, additional training will be scheduled free of charge at Aviassist’s standard scheduled locations at the convenience of Aviassist. Custom Course Policy
Custom course bookings are a request from a client for Aviassist to conduct training at the clients venue or a location of their choice.
All custom course bookings will proceed with a minimum of three students. Should a student withdraw within five (5) days of the course commencing, or upon commencement, no refund or credit will be issued. Committed substitutes are welcome.
Site induction and PPE requirements (if applicable) must be communicated to Aviassist at the time of booking or no later than three (3) weeks prior to scheduled training. Suitable timeframes will be allowed to comply with client requirements, and if allowable time is not permitted the client agrees to pay overtime rates to allow Aviassist employees to meet these obligations.
The client will communicate the address and venue details for both theory and flying field to Aviassist no later than three weeks prior to course commencement. The client agrees that all fees for hire of venue and flying field are payable by the client.
Where agreed, the client will communicate Aviassist’s travel arrangements (for example, in the case of company charter flights) no later than three (3) weeks prior to course commencement. Alternatively, the client agrees to pay Aviassist’s nominal travel rate as per provided quote.
The client agrees that nominated attendees will be relieved of all other work duties and made fully available to attend scheduled training. Aviassist will not be held liable for incomplete students due to failure to attend.
Student enrolment details must be confirmed via email no less than three (3) weeks prior to course commencement.
If the required competency is not reached within the allocated time, additional training will be offered at Aviassist’s standard scheduled locations. On-site remedial training is not guaranteed and may incur additional costs. Re-bookings are available for a period of up to 12 months.
