Remote Pilot Licence upgrade Multirotor 7kg to 25kg
Upgrading your RePL from Multorotor 7kg to 25kg increases the options of aircraft and payload, substantially increasing capability in the field. Many commercial off the shelf remote aircraft are above the 7kg limitation imposed by many initial RePLs. If you are investigating initial options, all of Aviassist’ initial Multirotor RePL’s are up to 25kg.
Multirotor 7kg to 25kg drone training is conducted using Aviassist fleet of DJI Matrice 600 Pro, a hexacopter with a Maximum Take off weight of 15.5 kilograms. There is no additional theory or theory examination to increase the weight category from Multirotor 7kg to 25kg though a detailed brief will be conducted on the aircraft.
We begin training where the initial Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) finished, confirming competency on the DJI Phantom 4. From here we go through a training package on the DJI Matrice 600 Pro before completing a flight test. On successful completion of the flight test your licence submission is made to CASA to upgrade the RePL from Multirotor 7kg to 25kg.
Training is planned over 2 days and is competency-based.
