Organisations operating Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) under the Civil Aviation Safety Authority’s (CASA) Broad Area BVLOS approval must nominate a BVLOS Responsible Person as part of their Broad Area BVLOS approval. This role is critical in ensuring that Broad Area BVLOS operations are conducted in accordance with the organisation’s procedures and CASA expectations.
The intent of this training is to prepare a candidate for the role of BVLOS responsible person, the related interview with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and BVLOS operational area self-assessment.
This training is delivered online by senior RPAS instructors with an intimate understanding of BVLOS operations.
The course includes
- Defining BVLOS operational areas
- Beyond Visual Line of Sight Operational Procedures
- Ground Environment Assessment in accordance with Pathways A1, A2, B1 and B2 of the CASA Broad Area BVLOS approval
- Air Environment Assessment in accordance with the CASA Broad Area BVLOS approval
